PrepShield does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All information you enter into the app — including inventory items, documents, notes, and household details — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple’s on-device storage framework.
Data we collect: None.
Camera and photo library access are used solely to scan barcodes and store document images locally on your device. Location access is used only for the Solar Calculator feature and is never recorded or transmitted.
If you delete the app, all data is permanently removed from your device.
Is my data backed up? PrepShield stores data on your device only. If you use iCloud device backups, your PrepShield data will be included in those backups automatically.
Does the app work without internet? Yes. Every feature in PrepShield works completely offline. No internet connection is ever required.
How do I export my inventory? Go to Settings > Export Inventory. You can export as a CSV spreadsheet, printable checklist, or detailed report.
